Steps:
1. Log into your Twitter account
2. Scroll to the bottom of page and look for Search.
3. Enter a specific keyword targeting the type of people you are seeking. For example: hiker or golfer or internet marketer. Then click Search.
4. Click on the profile photo of the person you wish to follow.
5. Click Follow to start following updates for this person.
6. You will receive a confirmation.
7. (Optional) If you wish to receive this persons updates by mobile phone, click Device Updates. Then choose On.
Note: You will need to have your mobile phone set up to receive updates. Click on Settings at top of page to set up your device.

Tweetgrid.com is a keywords tracking site that allows you to enter a keyword, then pulls up a gird off all the tweets taking place using that keyword!, very powerful for internet marketers!!.
Twitterholic.com is a fun stats site that crawls the twitter database for info on every user, then displays this info based on rank, it also shows you your own stats even to go as far as listing where you are ranked based on your location!. great stuff!.
