If you have been utilizing Twitter more than a day or two, you have probably come to the realization that there’s more to it than meets the eye. What on the surface looks like a piece of cake, upon further scrutiny is more complicated than you thought.
Because I want to know how to use Twitter to enhance my business, I bought about every program out there. A lot of the information contained in most of the programs is repetitive and is freely available on the internet if you just take the time to explore.
It is key before you go and just blindly add followers, to take a minute and step back, is this really what you want to do? If you will notice, some of the “gurus” have a very select list of people they follow, and they won’t follow you back.
You may want to develop a small select group that you interact with. Not everyone wants or needs thousands of followers, again depends on your objectives.
One of the most universal products I found that was most helpful, was Twitter Manifesto. I felt it gave me the most value for my money.
If you are a businessman/businesswoman and are really serious about learning how to use Twitter, you can’t go wrong with Twitter Power System. It’s more expensive but has a lot more detail. Everything from helping you set your Twitter goals, how Twitter interfaces with social media, and how to use Twitter for business. As the name implies, this is a system and like everything else in internet marketing, you need a system.
Starting out in Twitter, go slowly at first, figure out the fundamentals, then go for it. Twitter and Web 2.0 is powerful if you know how to use it.

Any ideas of where to start? I think it has a big market and i’ve seen many businesses have success.
If you use twitter for business , you can let your followers know about your featured news, upcoming events, get feedback from buyers, or just interact with customers.
Twitter has proven to be a great system to build your reputation, increase traffic to your website, build your list, and most importantly, create a following that is looking for what you’re offering. This only makes the sales process so much easier.
First you have to know how to build reputation on twitter and facebook. Then the next thing is build good relationship with them.
Twitter is a social network. They join twitter because they want to make more relationship with others, make friends, talk about their problems etc. They don’t join so someone could sell everything to them everyday.
Give them value they want and they will attracted to you.

How does new websites as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc. produce money?
All of them are free-sites. I’ve even read that megacorps as Microsoft, Yahoo, Apple have invested and mantain financial interest in all this services.
So, what’s the business behind them? Advertising, marketing, publicity?

All the websites have adverts on the sides ETC, charging companies or users to pay money to advertise over the site

I haven’t…and if he is charging you then just forget it. Just about any information you could possibly need for twitter marketing is available free online…just look up free ebooks…you’ll find a ton. Join a few forums and read the posts and you’ll also get great information for internet marketing…most of the guys are helpful (you’ll find out who the jerks are just by reading their posts) just make sure you start in the newbie sections first before posting questions that may have already been answered. How can you use Facebook and Twitter if you want to start a career in (local) politics?What & the marketing strategies to get you notice? I live in a city of 1 million people and I am planning to start my way through the election of my community which is about 200.000 people.I have no experience but I am young and I believe in social medias sites in a way to touch people and to be connected with them and the reality, issue & probels of my neighborhood.I hear that Obama won the election partly thanks to Twitter and Facebook.I have no contact in my country with politician and no experience in that field.I just want to get started and first through social media sites.So what would be your advice for a strategy, the danger, strenght, weaknesses of Facebook & Twitter in my case…if you would like to share some pratical and general ideas, please, I am listening to you.Thank you very much.
Open a facebook, twitter and myspace. Put your goals, ideas, and methods in myspace and facebook. Use twitter to post recent events and what you think of them and how you can change them. Explore and try all kinds of things. Personally, I would avoid having anything to do with any particular party affiliation at first to keep all your doors open. Also, do not take anything for your sites that cannot be confirmed. Obama and his cabinet, basically his whole party is finally getting busted for their lies and manipulation of our government. Ex: climate statistics (main person admitted they were false) the bailouts for local government that is being burned through and once its gone its gone and dont forget their lie about health care. It was proved to be more expensive then private plans and is not feasible to implement financially due to the kickbacks and unions again. There will be many local government groups that will not be there due to their mismanaged funds and unions that will not stop until every penny is sucked dry out of these local governments. Also, consider what Obama did to NASA’s Constellation program and the backlash due to the cancellation of it. A good politican knows the past and does not repeat it. Obama is repeating all our mistakes. All this means my friend there is room for new thoughts and methods. If you truly love our country and want it to remain strong then follow through, slowly but surely and you will do quite well for yourself. REMEMBER ANYTHING YOU PUT ONLINE CAN AND WILL BE USED FOR YOU OR AGAINST YOU!. Sorry to rant. I just am so sick of whats happening in our government. Obama is destroying this country and I hope you see this and fix this horrible situation.

Social media marketing is beginning to grow at an astounding rate but keep in mind that social networks are for socializing and networking! The way I market products and services through twitter is well, not one that is observed by everyone but I believe is the best way period. I use platplatforms like Twitter to educate and connect with my audience about my products and services not sell. I explain why they should do business with me. I then direct all traffic to my blog where I begin the pre sell and information collection process. You are building your own list aren’t you?
