Dear yes in now days, promoting on facebook, twitter and orkut are the best way to promote your site effctively by communicating with people telling them about your site giving awareness.
Free submission are very less important now. Try to promote in such communities.

I’m a small business owner and have been looking for ways to expand my business and get out there more. Twitter seems to be coming up all over the place. Has anyone been really successful using at it?
Good question! Twitter can be useful for a business, but it takes work because without quality material, no one will follow you or click on links you post. I personally wouldn’t say twitter is a "big deal," but if it fits with your other business strategies it can be useful.
The expert on using Twitter and other web marking is Mr. Sales Guru, Craig Elias. Follow him on twitter and watch what he does. He uses twitter to do one thing: Drive Traffic to his Website. He does this by posting headlines and links for articles he’s written, which are posted on his site. (He uses bit.ly to shorten the urls, so that they fit better into a tweet). He *never* uses twitter for a sales pitch. Who would want to follow that?
To get followers on twitter is a whole other matter. If you’ve got hundreds of followers, it looks like you must have interesting posts. If you’ve got five followers… well it says the opposite. Unless you’ve got a massive network already (Craig certainly does), how do you build up that many followers?? The easiest way to get started is to pay for them (there’s websites dedicated to this purpose). Obviously, you can ask ppl you know to follow you, or you can use other online marketing to find followers. You’ll also have to start tweeting with some quality material.
I myself haven’t tried these strategies yet, but I intend to. Writing articles to establish my credibility is part of my marketing strategy anyway, so it makes sense for me to do this.

I am looking for the icons where people can click on the logo & it will take them directly to my pages. I created these accounts for my business, so my FACEBOOK act is only a "page". Can I still link a logo/icon from my website home page to my FB account?
Do you have a blog? There are a lot of free plugins that can pout all sorts of follow me buttons on your blog. If you have wordpress, go to Plugins and add new, then search for follow me or similar keywords.

I made a site a year and a half ago and I update it all the time. The point of it was so I could write online movie reviews. Clearly I don’t have a name like Roger Ebert but I thought overtime I would gain readers. That isn’t happening. I posted my site here a few times but one asshole always reports me for solicitation. I’m sure one will this time too. I made a Twitter account that isn’t going anywhere either. My site is ronspopcornreviews.com
If you think it’s solicitation, go ahead. I pay for the website not to have ads and spam, and so it will be .com but it seems pointless now because no one is subscribing or visiting my site. If I get more traffic on my site, it would be a great help. Take a look at the site and you’ll see that’s it’s not solicitation and if it is, all you have to do is exit out. I have nothing to gain by spamming anyone. All I’m trying to do is convince myself that watching over a hundred is worth it because someone actually reads my reviews. Again, the site is ronspopcornreviews.com
Take a leap of faith. I know you’re cautious and I don’t blame you because I myself have been spammed a few times and it’s annoying but it’s just a movie review website like rogerebert.com or reelviews.net.
well i viewed your site and i think it is do to your lack of marketing but the site looks good though i just created http://theatervip.net 2 months ago and i get at least 5000 views a day dats over 150,000 a month and it is all on how you market
