How well do you know and understand Twitter?
Basically, if I'm a business owner (or work in the Communications Dept' of a company) I would use Twitter to send Tweets to people who have ** signed up ** to receive updates from me.
That is the key - you have to sign up for info from the company - so if you don't know the company exists - or know about them, but don't know they send Tweets, then you are missing out.
Conversely, it is up to the company to somehow let everyone know they are using Twitter.
Oh, Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 bytes in length.
Additionally, how many people out there even know Twitter exists?
Sure, some politicians are using Twitter - example, Obama before he was elected Pres. But I would conclude that twitter is not yet mainstream. So, most likely, only high-tech or leading edge companies are using Twitter to promote their business.

What Twitter feed gives the best (unbiased / facts only / no editorial / fastest) news as it relates to the stock market / trading. Topics such as economic news, breaking company news, commodities news, etc.

Another great tool I suggest is TweetDeck http://www.tweetdeck.com/beta/ Once you download and log in you can create custom search categories for anything you want.
